Larson's Bryan “BJ” Johnson Auditorium project complete

In January, Dane Larson, a senior at Aitkin High School, took on the repainting and repair of Aitkin High School’s Bryan “BJ” Johnson Auditorium for his senior project for his American government class. The class assignment was to “make a change in the community where you want to see change.”

Larson acquired two proposals/estimates and the project total cost would be about $32,000. He was able to raise the full amount in donations from community members and local businesses.

The project has now been completed. The final amount that was raised and spent was $36,000. Larson also had a plaque made for the local businesses and individuals who donated to be hung that can be viewed as people enter the auditorium.
